Today is the big day for the announcement of the 2019 Budget. It is also the first time in 61 years since the country’s independence that a budget has been present by a government other than the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, and the first budget of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government. Against the backdrop of national restructuring and reforms, and the rduction of the 1 trillion national debt, it is expectd that this budget releaseby Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng will not have many “goodies”, but it will not be as bad as imagin.

Prime Minister Tun Mahathir has already warn the people earlier, describing the budget as a “national sacrifice” budget, and that there will be no candy to be had like during the administration of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib.

Allocate NT$20 million to subsidize mical benefits
